Strong showing from U.S. athletes at 2013 Argentina Open Championships

U.S. National Team members earned four medals at the Argentina Open Championships in Buenos Aires this weekend. Steven Lopez (men’s -80 kg) earned gold, Charlotte Craig (women’s -49 kg) took silver, while Lauren Hamon (women’s -73 kg) and Cheyenne Lewis (women’s -57 kg) each earned bronze.

Other National Team members who competed were: Olie Burton (men’s -63 kg), Logan Gerick (men’s -54 kg), James Howe (men’s -58 kg), Diana Lopez (women’s -62 kg), Mark Lopez (men’s -74 kg) and La Shondra Rawls (women’s +73 kg).

Athletes who competed as independents were Stephen Lambdin (men’s +87 kg) and Samery Moras (women’s -46 kg), who earned silver and bronze, respectively.
