USA Taekwondo announces hiring of National Events Director

Nov. 01, 2013, 1:21 p.m. (ET)

USA Taekwondo is pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Jeanna Mendoza as its National Events Director. This hiring is effective as of Nov. 1, 2013, and Mendoza will be transitioning into the Events Director position over the next few weeks. Mendoza was with USA Taekwondo for many years in the past and is well-recognized by our membership.

"I am excited to be back at USA Taekwondo,” Mendoza said. “The USA Taekwondo membership always made me feel like I was part of a family, so I am truly honored to come back and do what I can to help move taekwondo forward in a positive direction. I have always kept an eye on the sport; staying up late at night during the Olympics to watch the team as well as going to local events as a spectator in Colorado Springs. I am thankful for this opportunity and can't wait to get started."

As the National Events Director, Mendoza reports directly to USA Taekwondo CEO Bruce Harris and is primarily responsible for developing, organizing and operating all USAT hosted events. She will also be responsible for overseeing all USAT Sanctioned events, as well as all USAT State Championships.

"We are very pleased that Ms. Mendoza is back with our USA Taekwondo family,” said Harris. “Ms. Mendoza has been a trusted employee with USA Taekwondo and I know that she will do a great job for our membership.
