UPDATED: WTF Global License requirements for 2014 U.S. Open

With the objective to keep track of attendance and record of participation in official tournaments, the World Taekwondo Federation has mandated that all participants, (Athletes and Officials) will require a WTF Global License to register for WTF and CU recognized Tournaments as of Jan. 1, 2014.

Participants must present proof of an approved WTF Global License to receive an event credential and to participate. This will include: WTF World Junior Taekwondo Championships; World Taekwondo GP; WTF World Poomsae Championships; sanctioned WTF Ranking Points Tournaments; and Continental Union recognized events.

Participants must apply for a WTF License at least one month before the tournament starting date. Licenses will not be approved until payment is confirmed by WTF.

Who needs a GL license:

    -All athletes: Cadet, Junior, Senior and Ultra Poomsae (10-11 Poomsae competitors are not required to have a GL)
-All team officials: coaches, managers, medical and staff (referees are not required)

Special Note: U.S. Athletes and Officials are not required to have a passport to obtain a Global License. If you do not have a passport, you will need to provide a Driver License Number, Identification Number, or if you do not have these items, please indicate “N/A” on the application.
