USA Taekwondo Board of Directors conducts Regular Board Meetings bi-weekly throughout the USOC Probation period. At a recent Board of Directors meeting, the Board approved allowing the general membership to submit questions to which board members will respond during these regular meeting sessions. Here is the procedure for any USA Taekwondo member to address the Board of Directors during their meetings:
1. Submit question in writing to CEO Bruce Harris via email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Email must be received not later than the Friday prior to the Monday Board meeting.
2. A total of two (2) or three (3) questions may be addressed by the Board.
3. The response time for each question addressed is limited to a maximum three-minute time period.
4. In cases where more than three (3) questions have been submitted for a meeting, CEO Harris and Board Chair John Holloway will confer to discuss which questions will be addressed at the meeting. All questions submitted by the membership will be forwarded to the Board members as a matter of record.
This Q&A process is now in place for a trial basis of three consecutive meetings, beginning with the recently completed meeting on Aug. 12, 2013. The next regular BOD Meeting will take place on Aug. 26, 2013. All scheduled USA Taekwondo BOD Meetings are posted on the USA Taekwondo website with times and call-in information.
