This tournament was what we had been training for! Pan Am Games was an experience where we could say we  accomplished what we needed to do in order to get there. It was a moment we will never forget. How what a non-normal life our lives are. We got to experience what only some have dreamed about. How humbling it was for me to be there at the Opening Ceremonies. I was in awe. I felt a little self accomplishment, because I was able to get this far in my TaeKwonDo career. Also I was able to give my parents an ecstatic experience also. I was so happy and thrilled to be there. I thank God for the life that He gave me. How I always used to want a normal life. However, the night at the Pan Am Opening Ceremony showed me how truly blessed I am to have my life.

Overall, the Pan Am Games was a great trip. Overall we won 6 out of 8 medals. We won 5 bronzes, and I received a silver. The team was the best team I have been on so far. We were all so close and had a lot of fun. I feel like the reason why we did so well is because we all pushed each other, and wanted to do our best for ourselves, USA, and for each other.

The Pan Am Village was an experience. We all did not have warm water for the showers the entire time. Also the internet connection would come and go. Therefore, I only blogged a couple times because of it. On the other hand, we some fun experiences too. We met some fun and different people in the village. We made friends with our USA handball team, and we played Mario Kart on the Wii almost everyday and challenging others to a race or two.

I know that there are a lot of trips to come, however this will always be one of my favorite trips and teams of my career. This team is like a family away from home. I know that we are the future. I cannot wait to show the world our talents and how this is only the beginning toward more victories and medals.
