Lopez Brothers on top of World Rankings

The World Taekwondo Federation has released the latest world rankings and two American's own the top spots in their weight divisions. Steven Lopez (Sugar Land, Texas) has vaulted to the top of the male welterweight rankings on the heels of his history-making fifth world championship title last month in Copenhagen. He joins his younger brother, Mark Lopez (Sugar Land, Texas), who retains the top ranking in the male lightweight division after a bronze-medal finish at the world championships.

Female bantamweight world champion Danielle Pelham (Bothell, Wash.), who was previously unranked, is now second in her weight class.
