Individuals who are currently certified as Associate Coaches and are planning to coach athletes competing in the 14 - 17 year old or Senior World Class Black Belt divisions should consider the opportunity of taking the CIDP Level 1 seminar in Austin, Texas in June.
As USAT strives to increase the quality of athletes and coaches in the country and to ensure that coaches are meeting the established standards of the CIDP, all open qualification tournaments and team trials that are part of the athlete selection process for the Junior or Senior National Teams will require coaches to be Level 1 certified. Please keep in mind that the only CIDP Level 1 seminars that will be scheduled for the 2009 calendar year will be on Monday, June 29th and on Friday, July 3rd in Austin, Texas. Until then, the next Level 1 seminars will be offered at the 2010 Junior Olympics and U.S. National Taekwondo Championships. So plan ahead and be prepared for your athletes.
For coaches who are currently Undefined or do not have any CIDP certifications, they will first be required to have the Associate Coach certification before they would be eligible to register for the Level 1 seminar.
