Sixteen-Member Team Selected for Korea Open

July 14, 2009, 1:36 p.m. (ET)

The 16-member team that will compete at the 2009 Korea Open has been selected by Grandmaster Young In Cheon after a careful review of all applicants. USAT members should recall that through the auspices of the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles, 2000 Olympic Team Coach and Grandmaster Young In Cheon graciously offered this opportunity to all USAT senior athletes over the age of 18 who submitted a competition resume.  That offer was posted on the USAT website in June.  This is not a USA Taekwondo National Team, nor is it in any way being sponsored by USAT.  The Korea Open will take place August 17-22 in Inchon, Korea,  and coincides with the 2009 USAT U-24 Team Trials.
