USA Taekwondo is pleased to announce that it will be offering the Level 2 Seminar of the Coach Identification and Development Program (CIDP) at the 2009 National Team Qualifier in early January!  The Level 2 Seminar is scheduled to take place at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on January 8^th and 9^th. 

The Level 2 - Developing Taekwondo Athletes and Coaches Seminar is the program where coaches will start to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.  This comprehensive seminar takes a closer look into the technical and skill development of Taekwondo athletes.  It provides coaches with information that will develop or strengthen the skills needed to guide their athletes toward performance excellence in competition!  Level 2 also introduces coaches to sports science principles and its application to coaching Olympic-style Taekwondo.  The program continues to build upon the competency-based approach by providing opportunities for coaches to apply the theories into practice at the seminar.

To ensure that all coaches who participate in this seminar have a quality experience, it is going to be limited to 20 coaches!  An application form is available to be downloaded on the USAT website. The deadline for applications is Friday, December 5^th and will be provided on a first come, first served basis.  Do not hesitate so that you can be one of the few Taekwondo coaches in the country to have a Level 2 certification!
