Shonie Aki Passed On

Shonie Aki died on Monday, December 2, of unknown causes; he was 76 years old.  The news was surprising since he had put in a full day playing table tennis at the Club on Sunday, doing quite well.  Funeral services have not been announced at this time.

Shonie was a very popular, important member of the Bay Area table tennis community for over 50 years as well as a top level player in his prime.  He was instrumental in resuscitating the Berkeley Table Tennis Club and also served on many USATT committees.
