Paralympian Pam Fontaine Qualifies for London

2011 Para Pan Am Games Silver Medalist Pam Fontaine of Double Oak, TX was recently notified by the International Table Tennis Federation that she would represent the America's in London this summer. Pam qualified in women's class 3 wheelchair singles.

Upon being selected Pam stated, "I am extremely excited about this opportunity to compete at the Paralympic Games in London.  I have been training really hard for the last five years to achieve my goals to representing my country in this premier event.  When I came up short of qualifying in 2008 I made it my mission to work and train hard so I can return to the Paralympics as a table tennis athlete.  Now that I have qualified there is still much work to be accomplish."

When ask what made the difference from 2008 to 2012. Fontaine replied with a John  Wooden quote, "It's the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen".
