Para Pan Am Games - Team Event Day 3 - Part 1

Dear Table Tennis Fans,

Today is the last day of the Table Tennis competition at the 2011 Para Pan Am Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.

USA had 3 medal matches in the team events to play.

The first one was in Men's wheelchair team class 4-5 where USA played against Mexico for the Bronze medal. Andre started out to play against Mexico number 1. Andre has a had a very impressive Games where the general tend is that the competition has improved very much and we are playing against mostly full time Professionals and every match has been a challenge but Andre has had an impressive record in the tournament and he proved again against Mexico number 1 by winning 11-7 in the 5th game. the 2nd match was the key to win over Mexico where Stu Caplin played against Mexico's number 2 and he was all fired up and know what was on the line and pulled through and was able to win by 3-1 in games. after that Stu played against Mexico number 1 but he was both tired and out gunned and lost 3-1. The 4th match Andre is up against Mexico number 2 where he comfortably wins 3-0 and the Bronze goes to USA by a winning team score of 3-1.

The next round of matches are the team finals, where USA has 2 teams competing.

The first team was women wheelchair team class 1-3 with Pam Fontaine class 3 and Tara Profitt class 2 which are playing against 1,000 screaming Mexican fans in the final.
