(Beijing, China) - Two days into the women's Olympic singles competition and Chen Wang (New York City, N.Y.) let it be known that she is a force to be reckoned with when she defeated Krisztina Toth (HUN), 4-1, in the third round on Wednesday at Peking University Gymnasium.

Wang led throughout the first three games which she won with little challenge from the Hungarian, 11-7, 11-7 and 11-6.

Needing only one more game to finish the match, Wang showed weakness for the first time when she was down 9-10. After scoring two more points, Wang led 11-10 and needed one more to close out the match, but Toth pulled ahead, soon forcing another game point and winning the game, 11-13.

Determined to change things up, Wang came out in the fifth with a blazing paddle and Toth was left behind as Wang dominated the match and took the win, 11-2 in three minutes.

"In the fifth game, I changed my game to hit her forehand more," said Wang, who has lost to Toth twice previously. "She plays more softly, big sweeping hits, I just played more aggressively."

Wang will test her aggression tomorrow morning when she plays the winner of the match between 2004 Olympic bronze medalist Kyung-Ah Kim (KOR) and two-time World Team Championships bronze medalist Haruna Fukuoka (JPN) at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
