ITTF-PTT Level 1 and Club Coaching Course

Eligibility: The course is open to all interested table-tennis coaches and persons wishing to become certified. (USATT membership is not required).

Costs: ITTF club coach $100; ITTF-PTT level 1 coach $225 + $30 ITTF level 1 coach manual.

Location: Allen & Sons TT club, 21915 Sherman Way, Canoga Park, CA 91303. Two miles away from Warner center in the city of Los Angeles.
Course Conductor: Christian Lillieroos, ITTF course conductor; he is one of the most experienced coaches in the US. Coach Lillieroos has run coaching certification courses in 8 countries. He is a former US National men’s team coach and USA Para team head coach.
Equipment: 8 butterfly centerfold table, robots, Wi Fi.
- Attend course conducted by an ITTF approved Course Conductor. For club coach, it is 12 hours; for level 1 coach, it is 30 hours.
- 10 minute coaching practical presentation during the course. A “PASS” is required to be eligible for ITTF Level 1 (but failed any of the requirements, the Club Coach certificate will be awarded, it is also translated into a USATT Club coach certification.)
- After the course, 30 hours coaching practice must be completed. This coaching practice should be group coaching predominantly benefiting the table tennis community or junior or school groups.
- From the 30 hours coaching practice, 5 hours must be supervised by the ITTF Course Conductor or a person appointed by the ITTF Course Conductor. This supervisor evaluates each coach using the “Confidential Coaching Report” (pages 299-301 of the ITTF Level 1 Manual). This must be approved by the ITTF Course Conductor, who provides the certificates if all requirements are met.
Hotel: Hilton or Marriott at Warner center. (Information will be provided in the near future). Coaches are responsible for their own transportation and room and board arrangements.
Travel Information: Arrive at LAX or Burbank airports, then take public transportation to hotel. Contact local organizer for details.
