Erica WU (USA) after beating Laura PFEFER (FRA) 4-2 in the women’s singles qualification round:
“Yes, I’m delighted with the win. We both have a very similar style of play; today if I could play my forehand, I believed I could win.”
In the sixth game it was a mental battle, not one of tactics.
“When Laura took a “Time Out” at 3-0 in the sixth game, I just said to myself keep going. At 8-4, I told my myself to keep calm and to keep concentrating.”

Kanak JHA's post match interview:
Boys' Team finished 14th and Girls' Team finished 8th.
US Boys started with the Stage 1 competition. They won 3-0 over New Zealand and lost to Argentina 0-3. Therefore, they will compete for the positions from 13 to 20. The boys did well there so far. They beat Egypt 3-1 in the quarterfinals and Nigeria 3-0 in the semifinals. Will play against Chile to determine the 13th and 14th places. That will be quite an improvement since US Boys finished 18th last year.
The team events will conclude on December 4 (local time) and the individual events will start the next day.
US Girls qualified into Stage 2 directly due to their world ranking. They lost to Hong Kong 1-3 and defeated Puerto Rico 3-0 in the Stage 2 competition and earned themselves a position in the top 8 competition. They will face Romania in the quarter finals. US Girls finished at quarterfinals in 2012. They will have a chance to make the history by beating Romania who upset the Korea Republic in Stage 2.
