Assistant Synchronized Swimming Coach (Portland, Ore.)
The Multnomah Athletic Club seeks qualified candidates for the Assistant Synchronized Swimming Coach position. The qualified candidate must be able to assist the Head Synchronized Swimming Coach with coaching duties for both junior and masters programs, provide assistance to swimmers in establishing individual goals and prepare them for competition. Must be able to perform selected administrative duties as directed by the Head Synchronized Swimming Coach, which include: tracking individual swimmers' progress, processing meet entries, submitting communication requests and work orders, and arranging travel as necessary. Requires availability to attend and coordinate activities of team members at selected away meets and help coordinate practices and schedules with members, parents, and Aquatics staff.
Duties include developing practices, lesson plans and routines appropriate to a variety of swimming levels, coordinating camps, clinics and workshops as directed, and providing event information to participants, members, and staff as directed.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and education is preferred. Previous synchronized swimming experience in coaching or as an athlete is required. Must be able to demonstrate skills at a proficient level. Possession of current CPR and First Aid certifications as well as US Synchronized Swimming Coaching Certification Program (CCP) Level 1. Requires strong, effective written and verbal communication skills.
