INDIANAPOLIS – Synchronized swimmers from four club teams will represent the United States at the Mediterranean Synchronized Swimming Cup in Andorra, July 4-7.
The Mediterranean Cup is the highest level of competition in the world for synchro swimmers age 13 to 15, with more than 20 countries competing.
Members of the 13-15 Walnut Creek Aquanuts will swim the team event. They are: Katya Mizin, Regina Kong, Renee Stehlik, Daria Torba, Dana Drury, Lauren Simonelli and Peyton LeGate. Catalina Nedelcu of the Riverside Aquettes also will swim with the team. The Santa Clara Aquamaids’ Leilah Talukder and Celine Joo (with alternate Jacklyn Luu) will compete in duet, and the Arizona Desert Dolphins’ Olivia Ekberg will be the U.S. representative in the solo competition.
Drury, Ekberg, Joo, Luu, Nedelcu, Talukder and Torba were selected for the U.S. 13-15 National Team earlier this year.
