Killman and Moody to Represent US at FINA World Championships

INDIANAPOLIS  – 2012 Olympian Mary Killman (McKinney, Texas) and Rebecca Moody (San Jose, Calif.) will represent the U.S. at the FINA World Championships, July 20-24 in Barcelona, Spain.

Killman will compete in the technical solo synchronized swimming competition, while Moody will take part in the free solo. The tech solo prelim and final are scheduled for Saturday, July 20. The solo free prelim is Monday, July 22, with the final on Wednesday, July 24.

Killman, who finished 11th in the duet (with Mariya Koroleva) at the 2012 Olympic Games, won solo gold at both the U.S. National Championships and the U.S. Collegiate Championships earlier this year, earning All-American and All-Collegiate honors. She also finished fourth in solo at the World University Games earlier this month. Killman, a rising sophomore at Lindenwood University, is a three-time USA Synchro Athlete of the Year.

Moody competes for the Santa Clara Aquamaids and has twice been appointed to U.S. national teams. She won gold medals in duet and team, and silver in solo at the U.S. Junior National Championships in April.
