Super Fan tickets now available for World Cup of Softball IX in Irvine Calif

OKLAHOMA CITY — Super Fan tickets for the 2014 World Cup of Softball IX, which will be held July 7-13 in Irvine, Calif., are available now through March 21, the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America and USA Softball announced today.  With renovations underway at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium, the 2014 World Cup of Softball will be played at Bill Barber Park (Deanna Manning Stadium) in conjunction with the Champions Cup, a Southern California ASA showcase.  The World Cup, an International Softball Federation (ISF) sanctioned event, will include some of the top teams in the world including Team USA, Japan, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chinese Taipei and Venezuela.

 "We're excited to get to meet USA Softball's Super Fans," said two-time Women's National Team Member Amanda Chidester.  "We love having our fans at the games to support USA Softball.  It means more than you know to hear 'USA' being chanted while we're on the field!"

The Super Fan ticket includes premium, stadium seating for all seven days of the World Cup with Super Fans receiving a USA Softball "Fan Pack", which includes a hat, foam finger, a World Cup IX t-shirt, program, souvenir ticket, and more! The ticket also includes a private meet and great with the 2014 USA Softball Women’s National Team during the World Cup. Super Fan tickets will only be available for purchase through March 21, after which stadium and general admission tickets will go on sale.

The World Cup schedule as well as the dates and times for Super Fan events, including the meet and greet, are not yet finalized.
