Leading up to the International Softball Federation X Jr. Women's World Championship (19-and-under), July 1-7, 2013 in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, USA Softball Junior Women's National Team members Sierra Romero, an infielder from Murrieta, Calif., and Cheridan Hawkins, a pitcher from Anderson, Calif., will be blogging for Get to know these two Jr. Team members!

Hi everybody I’m back!

This experience has been indescribable so far and I have loved every minute of it.

I have only known my teammates for a week but I can already tell they will be life long friends. It is so special to not only be close teammates but close friends as well, in such a short amount of time.

I am so honored to be one of the seventeen people picked for this team.

It is also great knowing your playing with sixteen other people with such high skill level for the game that we all love. It is a wonderful feeling stepping on the field with these girls and I am so glad I received this opportunity.

Tomorrow we play our first international game against Australia and I couldn't be more pumped. This game is another opportunity for my teammates and I to work together so we can get a step closer to bringing home the gold. With this goal in mind we plan to continue to play our hardest every game so we can leave Canada with no regrets and a gold medal around our necks.

I am super anxious for tomorrow and thank you for keeping up with my blog and I will be sure to let you know how the week plays out.

Go Team USA!!!
