OKLAHOMA CITY - The USA Softball Men’s & Future Men’s Slow Pitch National Teams have arrived in Oklahoma City to begin training for Border Battle V and the Slow Pitch Showdown the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America and USA Softball announced today. Both USA squads and the Canadian Men’s Slow Pitch National Team will compete in a series of practice games against local teams before facing off against each other on July 11.
On July 11, both squads will take the field at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex for Border Battle V and the Slow Pitch Showdown. At 12 p.m. CT, Team USA will take on the Canadian Men’s Slow Pitch Team for Border Battle V. Immediately after the game, Team USA will face off against the USA Futures for the Slow Pitch Showdown at 3 p.m. CT. Both games will be aired on ESPN via tape delay. Border Battle V will air on Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. (CT), while the Slow Pitch Showdown will air on Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m. (CT). Autograph sessions will also follow both games with both Slow Pitch squads and the Women’s National Team.
All-session tickets for the World Cup of Softball, which are $30 for general admission seating, $60 for other reserved seating, and $250 for the Ultimate Fan Zone reserved seating in the first three rows of the stadium can be purchased by phone at 800-654-8337 or online at SoftballOutlet.com.
Single-session tickets are also now available at $10 for general admission seating and $20 for reserved seating.
The Ultimate Fan Zone package includes a private autograph session and meal with the USA Softball Women’s National Team, open only to Ultimate Fan Zone (UFZ) ticket holders, as well as free parking, a white ASA/USA Softball hat and the opportunity for personalized name slide on the video board with a photo opportunity and more.
