Inspiring Our Youth To Dream Big

July 23, 2012, 12 a.m. (ET)

Soon our televisions, mobile devices and radios will be reporting 24/7 stories from the world’s best athletes. By watching, listening and then relating these stories to their own lives, youth athletes across America can draw inspiration as they set goals and advance in their sport.

Many of sports great coaches and players have sat down with Responsible Sports to share their journey to the top of their sport profession. Many credit their achievements’ to loving families, determined coaches and selfless teammates, but all of these legends recognize that without the support of great people in their lives, hard work and the courage to dream big they could not have reached such heights.

At Responsible Sports we too, admire and celebrate the efforts of great athletes as well as their parents and coaches. Listen, as legends of sport (from USA Softball’s Jennie Finch to Swimming’s Summer Sanders) share with us why they played, what they’ve learned and what they hope the next generation of great athletes will do to better themselves, the games they play and the communalities they live in.

The Liberty Mutual Responsible SportsTM program supports volunteer youth sports coaches and parents who help our children succeed both on and off the field. We offer many youth sports resources including $2,500 community grants, instructional videos, weekly tips, peer and expert advice, and coursework for those interested in improving the youth sports experience for all involved.
