She drove in nine runs, three each game, while adding a double and a home run to extend her hitting streak to eight games. In her hometown last Wednesday, the sophomore hit a bases loaded double to the wall in left center field to drive in three runs during Creighton’s 13-1 defeat of in-state rival Nebraska.
Sinkler followed that outing by going 6-for-7 during Creighton’s doubleheader sweep of Evansville on Sunday. In game one she was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. In the nightcap, she went 4-for-4 with three of CU’s four RBI, including the game-winner, in a 4-3 nine-inning victory over the Purple Aces. This performance extended her eight-game hitting streak to help the Bluejays to a 30-13 overall record and first-place standing at 8-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
This is the first-time honor for Sinkler as well for Creighton University.
