Coaches Applications

The Amateur Softball Association of America / USA Softball, appointed by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) as the National Governing Body for Softball in the United States, is accepting applications for assistant coaches for the USA Softball Men’s National Team program for the next three years (2007 – 2009).

The USA Softball Men’s National Team Selection Committee will select the assistant coaches. Assistant coaches will be required to participate in international events, player evaluations, selection camps and other specified events as part of a three year evaluation process. Coaches will work under the direction of the USA Softball Men’s National Team Program Head Coach, Peter Turner.

Assistant coaches may be eligible for selection as a member of the 2007 National Team, 2008 National Team and 2009 World Championship Team Coaching Staff. This staff will be selected by the Men’s National Team Selection Committee in accordance with procedures approved by the USOC.

To be considered as a candidate for the position of assistant coach for the USA Softball Men’s National Team, please forward a letter of application and a resume which must include:

  • Your National Coaching and/or playing experience
  • Your International Coaching and/or playing experience
  • The reason you would like to be a assistant coach for the USA Softball Men’s Program.
