Fernando Regueiro - Chairman (term expires 2017)

Fernando has been part of the Windy City Rollers since 2006, where he has served as a member of the Board of Directors and has worked with the Events, Marketing and Interleague Committees. His years of experience working directly with skaters, other leagues, USARS and WFTDA, give him a unique perspective and demonstrate his commitment to the growth of the sport. He passionately believes in the potential of roller derby to become a serious sport throughout the world. Fernando represented his home country of Mexico as a national soccer team U-17 player and then played professionally for 3 years. His perspective both as an athlete and a partner of a roller derby skater helps him relate to most of the issues that the skaters face and what their needs are. As a board member of the Windy City Rollers he established and executed strategic plans for the marketing, sponsorship and financial areas of the league. His involvement with the Interleague committee allowed him the chance to work with other leagues, USARS and WFTDA, on everything from tournament structure to rules. He currently serves as an integral part of the Events Committee, where he is in constant contact with the skaters, the game, and the fans.

A.J. Epp – USARS Roller Derby Coordinator 

A.J. aka Fairy Destructive, joined the USARS staff in January of 2013 processing memberships, and later that year accepted the position of Roller Derby Coordinator. She played Roller Derby off and on for three years, and then became a referee in 2014. She has assisted in coaching a junior team and has found a passion for teaching others. She has retired from competitive derby due to a knee injury, and is now working on USARS referee certification. She is also Derby Lite Certified.

Christina Gerrish (term expires 2016)

Christina, aka Blocka, has been a key member of Desert Dolls Roller Derby in Phoenix, AZ since its inception in 2009. Christina carries various rolls within the league and is involved daily in league business. Christina likes to work behind the scenes in anything from accounting to marketing to bout production to training NSOs and everything in between. Christina has a background in graphic design, multimedia and web design and works as developer by day. Christina has a strong passion for the sport of roller derby and uses her passion to promote and grow the sport to make it accessible to­­ everyone.

Chris Hunter (Term expires 2015)

Chris Hunter became involved with the Seattle Derby Brats in 2006 when his daughter wanted to play Junior Roller Derby; he helped SDB become one of the top junior programs in the nation. In 2009 Chris started a new junior program in Seattle, the I-5 Rollergirls and has been an evangelist of Junior Roller Derby ever since. Chris is also one of the founding members of the Junior Roller Derby Association (JRDA) he currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors as Sr. Vice President, he believes and it is widely agreed that roller derby will sustain and develop through strong junior programs. Chris has also has been a part of the Jet City Rollergirls bout production team, responsible for live web casts, scoreboard management, & AV direction, he has a background in broadcast television and understands what is needed to grow the sport through media; he has been a co-developer of the Ultimate Derby Scoreboard helping Canuck Derby TV, and the Wild West Showdown with their broadcasts. Chris recently started an adult USARS roller derby team combining 8 veteran adult skaters and 8 talented junior skaters with Sarah O’Donoghue of Fast Girl Skates, Antagonist competed and placed well at this year’s USARS regional and national tournaments. His passion to be a part of the roller derby community and work as a steward for growth and development of the sport by promoting youth gives him a unique perspective to help construct the future of the USARS roller derby program.

Donna Kay (term expires 2018)

Donna, aka “The Hot Flash”, skated with Rat City Roller Girls from 2006-2008, and the Tilted Thunder Rail Birds Travel Team 2009-10.She then founded OneWorld Roller Derby in late 2010 with the mission to help usher the sport into the mainstream. She is now working with the City of Seattle Citywide athletics program to begin a roller derby program in the spring of 2015. Donna is a licensed Real Estate broker and owner since 1991.

John McNeel (term expires 2017)

John aka: Papa Roadkill da Animal, was originally a competitive artistic skater, then a coach and a judge. He was a rink operator in California for several years. John was on the Hardball Roller Hockey Committee for 14 years, as well as actively playing, coaching and refereeing at the National level. He was on the committee setting up and organizing the world championships in Santa Clara, CA for Hardball Roller Hockey in 2005. He was National coach of the year and is twice inducted in the USARS Hall of Fame for coaching and distinguished service. John has been involved in roller derby for the past 5 years, coaching and refereeing. He has refereed at RollerCon and all over California. In the past, he also skated with the Bay Bombers, on the banked track.

Victoria Urban (term expires 2016)

Victoria, aka Pinkee B. Witch, founded the Rushmore Rollerz in February 2008. Since then she has guided her team to make giving back to the community a high priority. She is the public face and CEO of their 501c3 team. She is also a small business owner.
