Speed Athlete Board Seat Last Call For Nomination

LAST CALL FOR NOMINATION OF

SPEED ATHLETE FOR SEAT ON

THE USARS USA ROLLER SPORTS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

NOMINATIONS DUE AUGUST 25, 2017

 

No candidates were nominated or came forward, prior to the deadline for nomination and write-in petition for the Speed Athlete position on the USARS Board.  To assure adequate athlete representation for speed, we are again seeking candidates.

 

Speed Athlete Board Seat Requirements - Anyone meeting the following criteria may nominate himself, herself or another person with their written permission. 

 

1)         Be 18 years of age or older.

 

2)         Hold a 2017 USA Roller Sports Speed Membership Card,

 

3)         Meet the United States Olympic Committee definition of an active athlete.  This is defined as one who has competed in speed skating in the Pan American Games, Senior World Speed Championships, or other senior international elite level competitions within the last ten years. 

4)         Submit a personal and skating history, a written agreement to run for the USA Roller Sports Board of Directors seat, and signed Code of Ethics and Pledge of Commitment forms. Nominees must be able to attend two meetings each year in order to serve as a Director on the Board. 

Eligible electors shall be sent a ballot by no later than September 4, 45 days prior to the start of the Fall Board of Directors Meeting.
