Eight Major Lincoln Foundations and 18 subsidiary local businesses and foundations have set up a Lincoln Community Foundation in support of 302 Lincoln Nonprofits that they have identified  as improving the daily lives of its citizens - to include parks, trails, schools, pets, arts, culture and recreation, to include those that provide assistance for children and families in crisis.

The goal of the Lincoln Community Foundation is to encourage philanthropy.  Lincoln Day helps nonprofit organizations tell their stories and encourages donors to make an extra gift to support causes that are important to them. To concentrate donations to a single day, the Lincoln Community Foundation seeks to harness the power of collective giving with a minimal investment of time or money from the nonprofits.

$300,000 AWAIT MATCHING FUNDS -  Every donation made on May 29th will help your National Museum of Roller Skating even more because these will also receive a proportional share of a $300,000 challenge match fund provided by the Lincoln Community Foundation and its partner sponsors.  ALLSTATE INSURANCE is additionally funding 24 - $300 bonus grants which will chosen at random each hour of the event and added to the donation that donor has made to their nonprofit organization.

You surely know that the Museum has a collection of unique roller skating artifacts and historical documents like no other institution anywhere else in the world.  The community of Lincoln recognizes this fact and has supported our presence in this city with signage, show cases acquisition and inclusion in its listing of tourist attractions.  Our roller skating museum is on the list of beneficiaries of the Lincoln Day Foundation Fund.  They are looking to our members and supporters for an indication of HOW ROLLER SKATERS VALUE THEIR MUSEUM.  Will you help your Museum continue to serve Lincoln and our own roller skating community?

ON THURSDAY ONLY, MAY 29TH - www.GiveToLincoln.Com

Help support the future of the National Museum of Roller Skating with community funds.
