USARS Extends Deadline for Regional Participation Requirements

Based on feedback from member clubs, USA Roller Sports has extended the deadline for one of the requirements for participating in the 2013 Roller Derby Regional Qualifiers. Players will now have until May 15, 2013 to obtain their USARS membership in order to be eligible to participate at their respective Regional Qualifier. The new deadline applies to all women’s clubs and players wishing to participate at the 2013 Regional Qualifier events. The Regional Qualifier team application will be available soon.

USARS has preliminary plans to expand the 2013 National Championships to include competition for men and juniors; however, men and junior clubs will not have to qualify for Nationals at the Regional level.

The following Regional Qualifiers will define the women’s participants to the second USARS National Championship:

Region #1
Magnuson Park (Seattle, WA)

August 31- September 1, 2013

Region #2
Stockton Indoor Sports Complex (Stockton, CA)
Hosted by the Port City Roller Girls

August 17-18, 2013

Region #3
Skates Entertainment Center (Sand Springs, OK)     
Hosted by Tulsa Derby League

August 10-11, 2013

Region #4
Hampton Roads Convention Center (Hampton, VA)
Hosted by NFI Events

August 24-25, 2013

 

Any individual interested in refereeing or serving as an NSO at any or all of the Regional Qualifiers must apply by May 15, 2013. The application is currently available at:
