Rolling on Route 66

Albuquerque, N.M. – The fastest inline speed skaters from across the nation are racing to earn the title of 2013 national champion. All of the action is currently going on at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The first national record of the 2013 Inline Speed Skating National Championships was set by Eforrest “Buggy” Allmond from Harrisonburg, Va. Buggy set the record in his 500 meter heat this morning. He qualified out of his heat in record-breaking time and is looking for gold in tonight’s 500 meter sprint final.

Buggy has had a great championship so far as a competitor and experienced a special moment last night as a father and coach when his son, John Allmond, won gold in the classic men category.

Look for more records to be broken tonight as the best inline speed skaters in the nation compete in their sprint finals.

Spectators can expect to see action-packed excitement at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Join us tonight free of charge!
