Rolling on Route 66

Albuquerque, N.M. hosts three USA Roller Sports national championships in 2013

Lincoln, Neb. – The best athletes from across the nation will be traveling to the Land of Enchantment this summer to compete in three different roller sports national championships.

  • Speed Skating National Championships: July 13-20, 2013
  • Rink Hockey National Championships: July 14-19, 2013
  • Figure Skating National Championships: July 21-August 4, 2013

Spectators can expect to see action-packed excitement. The speed skaters will thrill the audience reaching speeds up to 30 mph while maneuvering through the pack in the quest for gold. Rink hockey was a sold-out spectator sport in the 1992 Olympics. Fans can expect to see tight turns and quick starts and stops in this non-contact, skill sport. The figure skaters will awe the crowd with their gracefulness while jumping, spinning and dancing their way to victory.

The Albuquerque Convention Center is definitely the place to be this summer!
