FORT MYERS, Fla. - What was once a forgotten sport is getting a comeback, and one local group is leading the way.

The Fort Myers Derby Girls have been taking to the rinks, taking on some of the best competition the Sunshine State can offer.

"It's like hockey, or any other aggressive sport," says one derby girl. "Tempers do flare, but it's really good if you want to get in shape and do something that's not the gym, where it's boring stuff everyday."

It could be because of the unique training style offered, but the participation in roller derby is continuing to grow,  The Derby Girls are constantly adding new members, training them and preparing them for competitions.
