Master’s Age Divisions will be Split at the 2012 Outdoor National Championships

Lincoln, Neb. (June 6, 2012) – The master’s long distance race (male and female) will be split into two groups at the 2012 Outdoor National Championships. The two groups will be 25-34 and 35-44 in one group and 45-54 and 55 and over in a separate group.

Previously, all of the master’s division participants (25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55 and over) skated together and were awarded separately in the long-distance races on the track and road.

Fortunately, the level of competition in this group has increased dramatically making it necessary to split the group into two separate races. All age categories will still be awarded separately.
