2012 SPRING NATIONAL TEAM CAMP: UNITED STATES OLYMPIC TRAINING CENTER

February 17, 2012 – Lincoln, Neb. – Invitations are being sent out for the 2012 Spring National Team Camp. The national team camp will be held at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. from April 27th through May 2, 2012.

In past years, the Olympic Training Center had an elite athlete funded list from which our national team was selected. This program has been removed by the Olympic Training Center for all National Governing Bodies (NGBs). In the recent past, the USA Roller Sports list allowed for the selection of 52 national team members which included a couple of freshman slots. With the removal of the elite athlete funded list, the national team and the World Team are one and the same.

For the national team camp, the national team (2011 World Team), will be able to stay on campus and train at the Olympic Training Center. The athletes’ room, board and travel to and from training will be funded; athlete travel to and from Colorado Springs is at their own expense.

For information on trying out for the 2012 National Team (World Team), contact USA Roller Sports.

USA Roller Sports is recognized by the Federation Internationale de Roller Sports (FIRS) and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) as the national governing body of competitive roller sports in the United States.
