DFW SPEED COACH, RICKY BROCK ADDED TO THE REGIONAL-CLINIC COACH LIST
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CONTACT: RICCI PORTER
February 8, 2012 – Lincoln, Neb. – Ricky Brock, DFW Speed coach, was added to the list of regional-clinic coaches.
The mission of regional clinics (level one clinics) is to introduce speed skaters to training and competing on a 200-meter outdoor flat track in a controlled and safe environment. Regional clinics give skaters the opportunity to qualify for the Banked Track National Championships that are currently held in Colorado Springs, Colo. each year. If skaters meet qualifying times while at the regional clinic, they can then move on to the final qualification which is held at the Olympic Training Center prior to the Banked Track National Championships.
Regional clinics also establish a process for coaches to learn and teach the basic skills associated with international competition while providing an avenue of progression for coaches within the outdoor program.
More coaches will be added to the regional-clinic coach list as they become authorized by the Speed Committee. If you are a USA Roller Sports coach that is interested in being considered for the regional-clinic program, please send a resume and letter of intent to firstname.lastname@example.org
