USA Roller Sports learned that Warren Danner passed away Feb 6, 2012.  Warren and his wife Audrey were renowned coaches in the ARSA and the beginning of the merger with USAC/RS.  Warren had several world dance champions including Jane Puracchio Wojnarowsky and Jim Stephens, Bonnie Streicker and Tom Lambert, Jane Panky and Richard Horn. He started the dance team of Gary Callahan and Sherri Street.  Warren and Audrey taught in several areas of the USA including Vineland, NJ, Indiana, Michigan, Cincinnati and the Baltimore area.

Warren’s approach to dance was technical with a focus on the scientific aspects of the dance by fine tuning the skater’s accuracy, edge quality, timing and knowledge of the pattern. He strove to improve the performance of his skater’s by introducing the individual character of each dance.

Warren was a giant in his knowledge of Dance skating and always willing to give of his skills. He was “the Professor of International Dance Skating” to so many coaches, skaters and officials in the sport and will be missed.  Warren is survived by his wife Audrey, his son Danny (a national dance champion in the ARSA) and his daughter (Kelly).  Thank you for all the years of instruction and dedication to the sport.
