Doris WalshUSA Roller Sports mourns the death of Doris Walsh of Massachusetts. Doris is a former national champion in dance and former coach of renown. She is familiar to most figure skaters and coaches as a National and International judge. Doris was chairman of the Judges Selection Committee for many years and gave years of dedicated service to USARS. She received the Marie Walker Service Award for Figure Skating at the 2012 National Championships. Doris judged three world championships and ran one of the few active judges panels in the USA.

Doris had retired a few years ago and recently had challenges with her health.

Her husband, Mike, and her 5 children survive Doris. Three of her grandchildren have been actively involved in figure skating at the national level.

Doris was a coach and judge for many decades in the northeast region and a driving force within skating. She is remembered as a strong and giving professional who has devoted much of her life to the sport that she loved.
