NOTICE

 2011 “The OFFICIAL INLINE HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS” Huntington Beach, California - JULY 4th THRU 7TH

 

USA ROLLER SPORTS, the US Olympic Committee's designated National Governing Body (NGB) for roller sports in America, which includes jurisdiction over selection of an inline roller hockey TEAM USA to engage in “official international championship competitions”.    

 FIRS is involved with inline hockey in its own world championships, as well as its other sport disciplines, being active in the World Games of GAISF, Continental Olympic Committee run multi-sport championships, as well as other influential multi-sport organizations. During the past 16 years, there has been 35 different countries participate in the FIRS Inline Hockey World Championships, with many other FIRS National Federations not having a qualified international inline hockey development sufficient to contend at a world championship level.

The first World In-Line Hockey Championship was originated for men by FIRS national federations in 1995, organized by USA ROLLER SPORTS at Chicago, Illinois, at the Odeum Arena.  Since then FIRS has added separate World Championships for women and juniors. The 2011 FIRS, “The Official Junior Women’s World Cup” inaugural season was added last summer and will again be held during the AAU Junior Olympic Games (July 4-7) in Huntington Beach, California at, “The Rinks.” FIRS organization has the only comprehensive program for all phases of inline hockey development or game recognition.
