Nov 19 The Senior Team is Off to a Good Start

Nov. 19, 2008, 10:16 p.m. (ET)
After the first day of competition in the 2008 Senior World Roller Figure Skating Championship in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, we have two teams on the flight deck leading to possible medals. Robert Hines and Aubrey Orcutt performed an exciting and energetic big band styled short program in the pairs freeskating event and they are currently holding the 3rd place as they prepare for the long program. Kyle Turley and Heather Menard are currently in 2nd place on the dance event after the Quickstep and Viennese Waltz compulsories. The still have to skate an original dance and a free dance to determine their final dance scores.

Both teams have been skating together for many seasons in order to achieve the level of skating and experience as a unified team required to be competitive in these events.
