After the 2008 U.S. National Rink Hockey Championships in Utica, New York, the Rink Hockey Committee announced the members of the 2008 USA Ladies Rink Hockey Team. This Team will travel to Yuri-Honjo, Japan the end of September to participate in the 2008 Ladies World Rink Hockey Championships, taking place October 4th through October 11th.
Team members are: Gwen Catledge, Erin House, Lisa Joosten, Ashley Lee, Autumn Lee, and Ceilidh Sligh from Washington, Christina Fritz from Texas, Shilo Schmelcher from New York, goalie Kristi Trussell from Oregon and goalie Danielle Walter from Pennsylvania. Alternates for the Team were: Kimberly Hughes and Kylie Hughes from Alaska, Kennedy Lee from Washington, and Kate Runnels from Oregon. The Team will be coached by Frankie Lee from Washington, assisted by Danielle Vianna from Illinois and managed by Tom Hughes from Alaska.
Congratulations to all of the Ladies. Let’s train hard to achieve our goal! We wish you the best of luck in Japan.
