UnitedHealthcare US OPEN Racquetball Championships Reaches Capacity
Tickets for Pro Matches Near Sell-Out
Colorado Springs, Colo. – USA Racquetball today announced a near record number of players for the UnitedHealthcare US OPEN Championships to be held October 2-6 in Minneapolis. The more than 700 players competing filled the Championships to the max and even required the last minute addition of a fourth venue for overflow matches.
The preeminent Championship in all of racquetball, the UnitedHealthcare US OPEN brings together the top men and women professionals from around the world as well as hundreds of amateur players. The Championships are being held for the 18th time and for the fourth time in Minneapolis.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled with the response we’ve seen for this year’s event,” remarked UnitedHealthcare US OPEN Championships Director Doug Ganim. “It is a real testament to the growing popularity of the sport of racquetball around the world and the consistent high quality experience our staff has been able to deliver over the years at the US OPEN.”
Spectator tickets for the Championships are also selling at a record pace. A limited number of Ticket Packages remain available at UnitedHealthcareUSOPEN.com, but only while supplies last. These Ticket Packages offer spectators the best value, are only available in advance, and will not be sold at the tourney. Only individual Session tickets will be sold on site if space is available.
The primary venue of the UnitedHealthcare US OPEN, and the site of all professional matches, is the Life Time Fitness–Target Center, located at 600 N. 1st Ave. Other venues include the Minneapolis Life Time Athletic Club, Life Time Fitness–St. Louis Park, and Life Time Fitness–Fridley.
