Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic - Grace Kittle and Logan Storie, both currently residing in Colorado Springs, CO and training at the US Olympic Training Center combined to swim 1:51.92 and set the world’s fastest time ever for a mixed relay in a 50 meter pool during the NORCECA (North America, Central America and Caribbean) Championships. In Modern Pentathlon, world records can only be made at World Championships and the Olympic Games.
Grace and Logan scored an incredible 1,460 points in the swimming event which helped them to a fourth place finish only 16 points from the bronze medal. In their individual competitions Grace and Logan both won their swimming events with Logan scoring 1,412 and Grace 1,264 points.
A total of 13 countries competed with several traveling from South America. Cuba swept the competition winning all three titles. Full results of all of the NORCECA action can be found in the links below.
