USA Team Prepares to Start in World Champs as Typhoon Strikes Venue

Kaohsiung, Taiwan - Team USA ready themselves for world-class competition as a tropical typhoon strikes the island nation of Taiwan potentially interrupting the competition schedule. Tropical storm Trami currently with sustained winds of 65 mph and gusts over 80 mph will strengthen as the eye will pass on or just off the northern coast of the island at which time it will be a category 1 typhoon (hurricane) with sustained winds of 74 – 95 mph. A decision on whether to delay the start of the competition is expected shortly. The storm has brought heavy flooding to the Philippines as it heads west across the Pacific.
