U.S. 10th in Mixed Relay at Junior Worlds
The U.S. team wrapped up the weeklong UIPM Junior World Championships in Drzonkow, Poland, with a 10th-place finish in the mixed relay on Sunday. The American team will come home with three gold medals after winning the women's relay, women's individual and women's team titles.
On Sunday, the mixed relay team of Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark.) and Nathan Schrimsher (Roswell, N.M.) finished 10th overall with a total of 5,604 points. Latvia won the mixed team title with 5,952 points, followed by Ukraine with 5,908 points and Poland with 5,884 points.
Isaksen was a part of all three gold medals won by the U.S. during the week. She captured the women's individual title and also teamed with her younger sister, Isabella Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark.), and Samantha Achterberg (Littleton, Colo.) to capture both the women's relay and women's team gold medals.
