U.S. Men 14th in Junior World Relay

Men's Junior Worlds

The United States men's relay team of Brendan Anderson (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and brothers Lucas and Nathan Schrimsher (Roswell, N.M.) finished 14th on Tuesday at the UIPM Junior World Championships in Drzonkow, Poland.

The Americans placed 14th in the fencing, eighth in the swim, 14th in the ride and 13th in the combined run/shoot for a total of 5472 points. Korea successfully defended its title by placing first with 6192, while France nipped Russia in a photo finish for second place. Both teams had 6164 total points.

Competition continues on Wednesday with the women's individual qualification round. The U.S. trio of Samantha Achterberg (Littleton, Colo.) and Margaux and Isabella Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark.), who won gold in the women's relay on Monday, will be in action along with Alison English (Ventura, Calif.).
