U.S. men don't advance at World Juniors

The U.S. men's team did not qualify any athletes for Sunday's final round at the Modern Pentathlon Junior World Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A top-18 finish was needed in Friday's qualification round to advance to the finals.
 
Nathan Schrimsher (Roswell, N.M.) was the top American finisher in 24th place in his semifinal group with a point total of 4116. His brother, Lucas Schrimsher (Roswell, N.M.), placed 28th in the same group with 3872 points. In the other semi-final group, Harry Greene (Concord, Mass.) was 35th with 3568 points.
 
Competition continues on Saturday with the women's individual final. Americans Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark.) and Samantha Achterberg (Littleton, Colo.) are in the field of 36 finalists.
