USA Pentathlon has qualified two athletes for the 2011 UIPM World Cup Final. 2008 Olympians
Margaux Isaksen
(Fayetteville, Ark.) and
Sam Sacksen
(Somerset, Pa.) will
represent the USA in London, England, July 9-10. The World Cup Final is a test event for the Olympic Games and will take place at Crystal Palace (fencing and swimming) where the 2009 World Championships were held, and at Greenwich Park (ride and combined), site of the 2012 Olympic competition.
Only the top 36 men and women from the 2011 World Cup Series qualify to compete in the World Cup Final. These 36 men and women will have the chance to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games, as the winners of the event receives automatic qualification into the London Games.
