Isaksen and Bowsher lead race to London in first U.S. Selection Competition

Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark.) and Dennis Bowsher (Dallas, Texas) won the first of three U.S. domestic qualifying competitions in Colorado Springs over the weekend. Isaksen and Bowsher, who are already Olympic qualified for London by virtue of their Pan American Games performances, won the women's and men's open division, besting a field of Olympic hopefuls from around the country.

This was the first of three U.S. domestic qualifying competitions being conducted at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The next two competitions are January 14-15 and February 11-12. The top 12 male and female athletes overall will qualify for the U.S. World Cup and Olympic Qualifying competition March 8-11, 2012, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
