U.S. duo wins bronze in mixed relay

Anna Olesinski (Roswell, N.M.) and Lucas Schrimsher (Roswell, N.M.) teamed up to capture the bronze medal on Sunday during the mixed relay event at the Modern Pentathlon Youth A World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.

The American duo placed 8th in the fencing event with 45 victories, were 7th in the swim with a time of 2:05.16, and ended the day with a 2nd-place showing in the combined run/shoot, crossing the finish line in 14:55.22. They finished with a total of 4632 points.

The gold medal went to the team from Belarus (Marharyta Maseikava and Aliaksander Birus) with 4720 points and the silver medal was won by the duo from France (Marie Oteiza and Nicolas Fayolle) with 4672 total points.
