Olympic Training Center to Host All Five Disciplines of National Championships

The U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs will play host to the historic 99th USA Pentathlon National Championships August 13-14. All five events will take place on-complex. The Olympic Training Center staff has worked hard to prepare a riding arena on-site where the equestrian event will take place. Competition begins at 8:30 a.m. both days with the fencing event and continues all through the day. The Women's Championships take place on Saturday, August 13th and Men's Championship will be held on Sunday, August 14th. Athletes will compete in both Junior and Senior divisions to earn places on this year's U.S. World Championships Team and continue on the road to London 2012. The USA Pentathlon Nationals are a Rocky Mountain State Games event.

8:30 a.m.    Fencing competition (OTC Fencing Hall)
11:30 a.m.  Swimming competition (OTC Natatorium)
12:15 p.m.  Riding course walk (OTC Arena)
12:40 p.m.  Draw for horses (OTC Arena)
1:00 p.m.    Riding competition (OTC Arena)
3:30 p.m.    Warm-up for Combined Running and Shooting event (OTC Path)
4:00 p.m.    Combined Running/Shooting competition (OTC Path)
