Colorado Springs, Colo. -- With the start of the 2011 season only months away, USA Pentathlon staff, led by High Performance Director Genadijus Sokolovas, are beginning to meet with USAP elite-level athletes around the nation, as well as all pentathlon athletes training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, to develop individual personal training plans for the 2011 season which culminates with the Pan American Games in 2011.

Personal Development Plan to be Implemented
USA Pentathlon will be implementing a Personal Development Plan component in 2011 for each pentathlon athlete using the Olympic Training Center facilities and/or receiving USAP resources. This requirement will encourage athletes to either be in school and/or have at least a part-time job and/or be significantly active in supporting community volunteer initiatives and not-for-profit organizations while engaged in the sport of modern pentathlon.
